A sergeant in Seminole, who was diagnosed with the coronavirus, died Saturday. The death of the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, James LaRue of the Department of Corrections, has been announced by the Sheriff’s Office on Facebook. LaRue began his service in the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office in 1999 as a prison intern. In 2010, he was promoted to sergeant. He has received many accolades throughout his career, including a life-saving award in 2017, officials said.
